SPEED UP WEB BROWSING !!

Iv'e personally found a dramatic increase in web browsing after clearing the Windows XP DNS cache. To clear it type the following in a command prompt: ipconfig /flushdns.

ALLOW MORE THAN 2 SIMULTANEOUS DOWNLOADS ON IEXPLORER 6.
This is to increase the the number of max downloads to 10.

1. Start Registry Editor (Regedt32.exe).

2. Locate the following key in the registry:


HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionInternet Settings

3. On the Edit menu, click Add Value , and then add the following registry values:
"MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server"=Dword:0000000a

Trick to fix Internet explorer 6 hang or slow down !!

1. Open a command prompt window on the desktop (Start/Run/command).

2. Exit IE and Windows Explorer (iexplore.exe and explorer.exe, respectively, in Task Manager, i.e - Ctrl-Alt-Del/Task Manager/Processes/End Process for each).

3. Use the following command exactly from your command prompt window to delete the corrupt file:
C:>del "%systemdrive%Documents and Settings%username%Local
SettingsTemporary Internet FilesContent.IE5index.dat"

4. Restart Windows Explorer with Task Manager (Ctrl-Alt-Del/Task Manager/Applications/New Task/Browse/C:Windowsexplorer.exe[or your path]) or Shutdown/Restart the computer from Task Manager

Here's an easier way to get to index.dat file

1. click on Internet Explorer
2. go to to your root dir (usually C:)
3. open Documents and Settings folder
4. open "your username folder"
5. open UserData
6. **close IE if you have it open**

rename index.dat to index.old
logoff and log back on (don't need to restart) open up IE and go to a web page or site that always seemed to load slowly. It should load a lot more quickly now. NOTE. Always rename or backup .dat or other system files before deleting.

when you connect to a web site your computer sends information back and forth, this is obvious. Some of this information deals with resolving the site name to an IP address, the stuff that tcp/ip really deals with, not words. This is DNS information and is used so that you will not need to ask for the site location each and every time you visit the site. Although WinXP and win2000 has a pretty efficient DNS cache, you can increase its overall performance by increasing its size. You can do this with the registry entries below:

Internet explorer Speed up!!

Edit your link to start Internet Explorer to have -nohome after it. For Example: "C:Program FilesInternet ExplorerIEXPLORE.EXE" -nohome
This will load internet explorer very fast because it does not load a webpage while it is loading. If you want to go to your homepage after it is loaded, just click on the home button.

Once in registry, navigate to key.

Isn't it annoying when you want to go to a new website, or any other site but your homepage, and you have to wait for your 'home' to load? This tweak tells Internet Explorer to simply 'run', without loading any webpages. (If you use a 'blank' page, that is still a page, and slows access. Notice the 'about:blank' in the address bar. The blank html page must still be loaded..). To load IE with 'nothing' [nothing is different than blank]:


1. Right-click on any shortcut you have to IE
[You should create a shortcut out of your desktop IE icon, and delete the original icon]
2. Click Properties
3. Add ' -nohome' [with a space before the dash] after the endquotes in the Target field.
4. Click OK
Fire up IE from your modified shortcut, and be amazed by how fast you are able to use IE!

1) When we chat on yahoo every thing goes through the server.Only when we chat thats messages.
2) When we send files yahoo has 2 options
a) Either it uploads the file and then the other client has to down load it.
Either it connects to the client directly and gets the files
3) When we use video or audio:-
a) It either goes thru the server
Or it has client to client connection
And when we have client to client connection the opponents IP is revealed.On the 5051 port.So how do we exploit the Chat user when he gets a direct connection. And how do we go about it.Remember i am here to hack a system with out using a TOOL only by simple net commands and yahoo chat techniques.Thats what makes a difference between a real hacker and new bies.
So lets analyse
1) Its impossible to get a Attackers IP address when you only chat.
2) There are 50 % chances of getting a IP address when you send files
3) Again 50 % chances of getting IP when you use video or audio.

So why to wait lets exploit those 50 % chances .
I'll explain only for files here which lies same for Video or audio

This can pose as the installation program for a game. This means that

Remove Shut Down:- A trick to Play on Lamers !!

This is a neat trick you can play on that lamer that has a huge ego, in this section I teach you, how to disable the Shut Down option in the Shut Down Dialog Box. This trick involves editing the registry, so please make backups. Launch regedit.exe and go to :

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

In the right pane look for the NoClose Key. If it is not already there then create it by right clicking in the right pane and selecting
New > String Value.(Name it NoCloseKey) Now once you see the NoCloseKey in the right pane, right click on it and select Modify. Then Type 1 in the Value Data Box.

Doing the above on a Win98 system disables the Shut Down option in the Shut Down Dialog Box. But on a Win95 machine if the value of NoCloseKey is set to 1 then click on the
Start > Shut Down button displays the following error message:

This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator.

You can enable the shut down option by changing the value of NoCloseKey to 0 or simply deleting the particular entry i.e. deleting NoCloseKey.

Instead of performing the above difficult to remember process, simply save the following with an extension of .reg and add it's contents to the registry by double clicking on it.

A worm usually exploits some sort of security hole or some bug in the software or the OS. Some famous worms are Mydoom ,So big( both spreading via email) and Code Red(effecting via whitehouse.gov) .

Virus are classifed mainly on based on what they affect & how, size.

Computer virus.
Mobile virus -Nowerdays many virus are written for mobile They spread through gprs/bluetooth.
Music player virus -There exsists only a handful of such virus.Theu spread when you add a song /video or dwnload some thing

Tiny virii - These are under 500 bytes. They are designed to be undetectable due to their small size. TINY is one such virus. They generally very simple because their code length is so limited.
Large Virus- They are over 1,500 bytes. They are designed to be undetectable because they cover their tracks very well (all that code DOES have a use!). The best example of this is the Whale virus, which is perhaps the best 'stealth' virus in existence.
Other virus- These virus are easily detectable. Many virus are of this type.

Based on How they effect
All these many seam like compurt virus only but that is only partly true as your mobile too has an OS.

Boot Sector Virus: This virus replaces or implants itself in the boot sector---an area of the hard drive (or any other disk) accessed when you first turn on your computer. This kind of virus can prevent you from being able to boot your hard disk.

File Virus: This infects your applications. These then spread the virus by infecting other applications. You need to run or open these files.


Macro Virus: These account for about 75 percent of viruses found in the wild. They are written using a simplified macro programming language, these viruses affect Microsoft Office applications, such as Word and Excel, and . A document infected with a macro virus generally modifies a pre-existing, commonly used command (such as Save) to trigger its payload upon execution of that command.


Multipartite Virus: These infects both files and the boot sectorthat infect your system dozens of times before it's caught.


Polymorphic Virus: A well written virus of this type is usually difficult for antivirus scanners to detect but these are usually not that well written. They changes code whenever it passes to another machine.


Stealth Virus: These hides its presence by making an infected file not appear infected, but doesn't usually stand up to antivirus software

There are a few secret parameters you can add to Google Talk and make it function differently. Following is the list of parameters

/nomutex: This allows you to open more than one instance of Google Talk
/autostart: Starts on it's own.
/forcestart: It forces it to start no matter what option was set.

/S upgrade: Used when upgrading Google Talk
/register: This registers Google Talk in the registry, includig GMail Compose method.
/checkupdate: This keeps on checking for newer versions
/plaintextauth: It makes use of plain authentication mechanism instead then Google's GAIA mechanism.
/nogaiaauth: This disables GAIA authentication method. The same as above.
/gaiaserver servername.com: uses a different GAIA server to connect to Google Talk. Used for debug purposes only, there are no other known GAIA servers.

/diag: start Google Talk in diagnostic mode

Animate your Start Menu user pic

In early builds of Windows Vista, testers were shown a new 3D interface powered by the Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) that was filled with animations of all sorts. This interface was very cool looking. However, because of delays, Microsoft had to cut the use of WPF in the UI and most of the “WOW” was removed.

Speed up external hard drives

This tweak is going to show you how to increase the performance of your external hard drives by turning write caching back on as well as activating advanced performance. Let’s get started:

1.Click on the start button, then right click on Computer and select Manage.
2.Click on Device Manager on the side menu.
3.Expand Disk drives and locate your external drive from the list.
4.Right click on the drive and select Properties.
5.On the Policies tab, select Optimize for performance.
6.Next, check Enable write caching on the disk and Enable advanced performance
7.Hit OK and reboot.

How to Use Check Disk in Vista

1. Open Start Menu.
2. Click on Computer button.
3. Right click on your hard drive and click Properties.
4. Click the Tools tab.
5. Click on Check Now under Error checking section.
6. Make sure both options are checked.
7. Click Start button.
8. You will get a pop-up window saying, "Windows can't check this disk while it's use".
9. Click Schedule disk check button for it to run the next time you restart your computer.


OPTION TWO:
How to Run Check Disk in the Command Prompt :
NOTE: If you cannot get Chkdsk to run at startup, then run chkdsk from the recovery console off the Vista install
disk. Select Command Prompt from step 6 here: How to Do a Startup Repair in Vista
1. Open Start Menu.
2. In white line (Start Search) area, type cmd
3. Right click cmd (At Top), and click Run as administrator.
4. Click Continue button for UAC prompt.
5. In command prompt , type chkdsk /? for a complete list of commands with information on each.
6. In command prompt, type chkdsk followed by one or a combination of switches listed below and press Enter. (See screenshot above also)
EX: Type chkdsk /f /r for a thorough disk check with repair and recovery.

A) x: = If you want check disk to scan a drive other than the C: drive, add the drive letter after chkdsk to tell it to scan that drive. EX: chkdsk x:

B) /f = The /F switch is the most common of the chkdsk switches. It tells chkdsk to fix any errors it finds. Chkdsk cannot fix errors on a disk that has open files.
EX: chkdsk /f or chkdsk x: /f
NOTE: Answer Y when chkdsk asks you if you want to check the drive next time Windows Vista boots.

C) /r = The /R switch tells chkdsk to attempt to recover any bad sectors of the hard drive if any are found. A bad sector is a spot on the hard drive that cannot hold saved data anymore.
EX: chkdsk /r
NOTE: Answer Y when chkdsk asks you if you want to check the drive next time Windows Vista boots.

D) /I = The /I switch tells chkdsk to perform a less detailed but faster disk check. (See screenshot below)
EX: chkdsk /I
NOTE: This will run immediately.

E) /c = The /C switch tells chkdsk to skip the checking of cycles within a folder structure which reduces the scan time.

INFO: The Memory Diagnostics Tool allows you to check your computer for problems with the RAM memory.

1. Open Start menu.
2. In white line (Start Search) area, type MdSched and press Enter.
3. Click Continue button for UAC prompt.
4. Click on the choice you want to do.



5. Restart the computer to run the test.
6. It will take a while to finish. (5 minutes or so)


METHOD TWO:
How to Start From the Windows Boot Manager :
1. Restart the computer.
2. Press F8 until you boot into the Advanced Boot Options.
NOTE: See: How to Boot Up in and Use Advanced Boot Options in Vista
3. Press Esc on your keyboard while you’re in the Advanced Boot Options screen.
4. Press Tab on your keyboard to move to the Tools section of the boot manager screen.
NOTE: This will highlight Windows Memory Diagnostics.
5. Press Enter to start the Memory Diagnostics.




METHOD THREE:
How to Start From the Vista Installation DVD :
1. Insert your Vista installation DVD and then restart your computer.
NOTE: You will be booting from the Vista DVD.
2. If prompted, press any key to start Vista from the installation DVD.
NOTE: You will only have about 8 seconds to press this key.

3. When your computer has booted to the DVD select your language and then press Next.

4. Click on Repair your computer. (See screenshot below)

5. Select the operating system your want to repair and click Next.
(NOTE: There is usually only one here unless you’re dual booting.

6. Click on Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool. (See screenshot below)

7. Click on Restart now and check for problems and wait for your computer to restart.

How to Repair and Verify the Integrity of Vista System

System File Checker (SFC) checks that all Vista files are where they should be and that they are
uncorrupted.


If sfc cannot finish, then try running it Safe Mode.

1. Open Start Menu.
2. In white line (Start Search) area, type cmd
3. Right click cmd (at top) and click Run as administrator.
4. Click Continue button for UAC prompt.
5. In command prompt, type what you want to do in bold below.
A) sfc /scannow - Scans integrity of all protected system files and repairs system files if needed.
NOTE: Restores Vista's original setup of system files. (EX: Fonts, wallpapers, System32 files, etc.)
B) sfc /verifyonly - Scans & verifies integrity of all proteced system files only.
C) sfc /scanfile=(full path of file) - Scans integrity of chosen system file and repairs if needed.
EX: sfc /scanfile=C:\Windows\System32\kernal32.dll
D) sfc /verifyfile=(full path of file) - Scans & verifies integrity of chosen system file only.
6. Press Enter. (may take a while to finish)
7. Close command prompt when done.

Permanently Activate Windows Vista

Install Windows Vista Ultimate edition (or other edition) without product key.
Windows Vista needs to be applied with 2099-ReArm trick, so that the counter of minutes to no activation required period will not return to normal after reboot. Click on Start Orb button.
Select “All Programs”, then “Accessories”.
Right click on “Command Prompt, then select “Run as Administrator (A)”.
If User Account Control (UAC) prompt a warning message, click on “Continue”.
In the command prompt, type date and press Enter. You will see the following:

C:\Windows\system32>date
Current date: 12/19/2006 Thursday
Enter new date:

The command completed successfully.
To make the change effectively, please restart the system.
Then reset the date of the system to current date again by typing date again. You will see the following:

Type in current date, i.e. 12/19/2006.
Exit from command prompt, but do not restart the computer.
Download StopTimer.zip, StopTimer.zip, StopTimer.zip or StopTimer.zip torrent.
Extract the downloaded archive file into a folder. It should contains “Vista test crack.exe” and “timerstop.sys”.
Execute or run the “Vista test crack.exe” by right click on “Vista test crack.exe”, and select “Run as Administrator (A)”.
Optional: Press in Test button, and it will pop up a message says 4 timers are stopped. At this time, the counter should be freezed, Check with slmgr.vbs -dlv command, with the minutes left should be the same after a few minutes interval. If it’s the case, continue with the following steps to run the crack every startup.
In the Vista test crack window, click on “Install” button. You will be prompted with “Service installed” message if everything is done properly and correctly. The crack will copy the patched stoptimer.sys to system folder and install a new service named “timerstop” to stop kernel-mode timers in spsys.sys system file.
Exit from the crack, and restart the computer.
The hacking is basically done. Next few steps to to verify that the activation grace period built-in countdown timer is actually stopped and disable the timers from working properly, and make sure that the crack is installed properly. After restart, log on to Windows Vista. Run for a few minutes.
Press on Windows + R keys.
Type slmgr.vbs -dlv to check the time left to activate Windows Vista. If the time left is 43200 minutes that’s mean the crack is successful.
